Grazier's Organic Beef Selections
From
Harmony Valley Farm &Deer Run Farm
Our beef offerings are the result of our partnership with Jim & Phyllis
Munsch at Deer Run Farm in Coon Valley, WI. Jim has established a refined
line of genetics and a closed herd on his certified organic farm. At about
one year of age, Jim’s cattle come to graze our pastures.
All our beef cattle are grass-fed on mineral rich pastures, with regularly
managed rotations to new grasses. We offer a small amount of grain daily,
about one handful per animal. This allows us to check the animals up close
and personal every day, but is such a small percentage of their overall diet
that they don’t have the problems grain fed feedlot animals experience. In
fact, our animals will give you a dumbfounded look if you say "feedlot" - it
isn't even in their vocabulary!
PASTURE RAISED PORK
Our pigs enjoy a rich diet of root vegetables, greens and fruits in addition
to certified organic grain. All pork is fresh-frozen. All ham & bacon is
smoked and processed nitrate/nitrite free using organic ingredients.
All animals, feed, & land are certified organic by MOSA (Midwest Organic
Services Association).
